Arnica is popular with athletes, and especially massage therapists. Laboratory experiments on Arnica Montana oil have shown that it can kill bacteria and decrease inflammation. This amazing flower infused oil is commonly used to produce salves, balms and massage oils and is known to relieve lower back pain and stiffness from overexertion, minor trauma from long drives and more. The internal and external preparations are made from the flowering head of Arnica which is a bright yellow daisy-like flower in the Asteraceae family that blooms in July and August. Arnica Montana is related to Chamomile and Sunflowers so it’s natural to extract these flowers' natural properties with Sunflower oil. It has been used medicinally for hundreds of years. It is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties.
Arnica is used extensively in European folk medicine and in Germany it’s known as Wundkraut; note that it’s not edible. Today, Arnica has grown to be one of the most popular homeopathic medicines throughout the world. It is trusted by professional athletes to relieve sore muscles, by prominent cosmetic surgeons to relieve post procedure pain, and by savvy parents to treat playground bumps and bruises.

Arnica Heals Bruises, at least it seems like it does.
A study out of Northwestern University’s Department of Dermatology found that topical application of arnica was more effective at reducing bruises than low-concentration vitamin K formulations. Researchers identified a number of ingredients in arnica that account for anti-bruising, including some that are caffeine derivatives.
Some say Arnica Oil Treats Osteoarthritis.
Arnica has been shown in studies to be effective against osteoarthritis, making it an effective natural arthritis treatment. The use of topical products for symptom relief is common when it comes to osteoarthritis. A 2007 study published in Rheumatology International found that topical Arnica was as effective as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug-like ibuprofen in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the hands.
Arnica was also found to be an effective topical treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee. A study out of Switzerland evaluating the safety and efficacy of topical arnica had both men and women apply arnica twice daily for six weeks. The study found that the arnica was a safe, well-tolerated and effective treatment of mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee.
Arnica for Carpal Tunnel may be a thing
Arnica oil may be a great natural remedy for carpal tunnel which is inflammation of a very small opening just below the base of the wrist. Arnica oil could help with the pain associated with carpal tunnel syndrome.
In a double-blind, randomized comparison of arnica administration versus placebo post-surgery in patients between 1998 and 2002, the participants in the group treated with arnica had a significant reduction in pain after two weeks. Arnica’s potent anti-inflammatory effects make it a smart choice for carpal tunnel syndrome.

Arnica oil is a potential remedy for various inflammatory and exercise-related pains. The positive effects of topically applying Arnica have proven to be effective in reducing pain, indicators of inflammation and muscle damage, which in turn can improve athletic performance. Study participants who used arnica had less pain and muscle tenderness 72 hours after intense exercise, according to the results published in the European Journal of Sport Science.

It’s amazing what the Sun can do. It keeps us warm and makes plants grow through Photosynthesis. Exalted Naturals Arnica Solar Infusion Process
Since Arnica is a genus of perennial herb belonging to the sunflower family we naturally choose Sunflower oil due to its close relation to Arnica. It is pure and organic, solar infused with Sunflower which withstands the multi week process and extra vitamin E to increase its stability and overall shelf life.
The infusion takes place in tightly sealed glass jars in the warm Eastern San Diego Sunlight and is later strained and filtered of most sediment and packaged in Dark Blue Glass.
